CADWM ACTIVITIES UNDER RKVY

CADWM activities are further being extended in other Irrigation Projects with funds from Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY). Budhabudhiani Medium Irrigation Iroject of Nayagarh District and Salia Medium Irrigation Project (balance area) of Khurda District have by now been included under stream I of RKVY with financial involvement of Rs 552.85 lakhs (511.85 RKVY share and 41.00 beneficiaries’ contribution) and Rs  1256.80 lakhs (1167.60 RKVY share and 89.20 beneficiaries’ contribution), respectively. A total of 31 Pani Panchayats (9 in Budhabudhiani and 22 in Salia) are being directly involved in the process of planning and execution.

ON-FARM WATER MANAGEMENT & CAD ACTIVITIES UNDER OIIAWMIP

On-Farm Water Management and CAD activities under participatory mode are to be taken up in command areas of 18 irrigation projects, covered under “Orissa Integrated Irrigated Agriculture and Water Management Investment Programme (OIIAWMP)” with financing from ADB.

            Works in three medium irrigation projects, namely, Goriha, Sunei and Remal and the Taladanda Canal  system of Mahanadi Delta Stage I commanda are to be taken up in the Tranch I of the programme. An amount of Rs 100.57 lakhs have been received for On-Farm Water Management and CAD activities under this scheme for 2008-09.
